whale encounter

Read a few stories from recent whale watch trips:

“I had always dreamed of visiting Maui and experiencing the beautiful beaches, lush jungles, and endless activities that make it one of the most popular vacation spots in the world. But nothing could have prepared me for what was about to happen when I went whale watching from Lahaina Harbor. My friends had booked a Maui Adventure Cruise, which I highly recommend. As we left the harbor, I felt a sense of awe wash over me as I watched surfers right next to the rocks! But then something even more amazing happened – we started to see whales breach! It began with just one breaching off in the distance but soon there were 2 amuch closer to our boat! This experience touched me deeply and left me feeling inspired by how majestic these creatures are. My trip to Maui will forever be remembered for this moment when I saw firsthand just how powerful nature can be – especially at sea level!” – Jess Monroe

Maui whales

“As a Maui local, born and raised, I’ve been on dozens of amazing whale watches.  Usually, what makes a great whale watch is watching them breach.  We’ve been lucky many times, especially in February, but this last whale watch with you guys was amazing and different.  We didn’t see any breaching!  Usually, we see at least one in the distance, but none this time. Instead, we had a competition pod swim up to our boat and splash around us.  One adult humpback was laying on its back and splashing over and over again. It literally got us wet!  Unreal!  This was one of the best whale watches of my life and not a single breach. – Kainoa Smith
